Volunteers
The majority of work at the research unit is desk-based project work and as such there is no direct contact with patients. Whilst we can't offer you an insight into the day-to-day clinical work of speech and language therapists, we can provide a broad overview of the range of patients, theory and research within speech and language therapy.
Volunteer work may include a variety of research tasks including transcription of speech samples, coding, sorting database materials and compiling literature critiques.
Placements are unpaid and no travel or incidental expenses will be payable.
